Welcome to the Gloucestershire Branch of Butterfly Conservation Butterfly Conservation is a registered charity dedicated Those of us who live in Gloucestershire count ourselves as very lucky because we have access to a great diversity of insect and plant life throughout the county - often within a short walk or drive from our own front doors. Do have a look at our 'Species and Habitats' web pages and maybe you will be encouraged to go out and look for some of these fascinating creatures. You might like to grow nectar friendly plants in your garden or create a wildlife friendly area - you will be surprised at what comes to visit you. Members of the Gloucestershire branch committee are listed on the 'Committee' page. If you wish to contact any of the members please do so via the email link through the 'Contact Page' - your message will then be forwarded to the appropriate person. Do mark it for an individual's attention if you so wish. We look forward to hearing from you. Your support will help save our butterflies and moths and promote the important work of the Society. The Branch is always grateful for any records members can send in and our Species Champions would be especially grateful for information on White Letter Hairstreak, Brown Hairstreak, Silver Washed Fritillary, Marsh Fritillary, Duke of Burgundy, Wall Brown, Adonis Blue, Large Blue, Wood White, White Admiral, Pearl Bordered Fritillary, Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary, Grayling. |
