 Daneway Banks - SO939034
 Another 40th anniversary – that of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s management of Daneway Banks reserve. Starting from 12 noon there will be a series of walks around Daneway, if we are lucky we may see Large Blue on the wing. GWT are using the Daneway Inn for a series of events on this day and we have permission to park in their car park. Other events and displays continue until 11.00 pm and there will even be a special brew from the Nailsworth Brewery and live music. Parking at the Daneway Inn near Sapperton.

 We have negotiated FREE admission to the arboretum if you show your BC membership card at the entrance. Come and see Westonbirt Arboretum’s new butterfly walk in Silkwood. We will be helping to find out what species are present and where, so bring a pencil to note what you see.

 A circular walk through a variety of butterfly habitats seeing Silver-washed Fritillary and possibly White Admiral, along with a profusion of meadow butterflies. Meet at car park on West Down.

 Location: South of Sturminster Newton and just outside the village of Hazelbury Bryan, park on the verge well to the west of the 30mph and village sign. Join Nigel Spring for guided walks around this new BC reserve.
 Target species: Brown, White-letter and Purple Hairstreaks.

 A large calcareous grassland valley system about three and a half miles north of Cirencester on the A429 Stow Road. Park in small lay-by adjoining the reserve.

 Withington Woods. Meet at Chedworth Village Hall (SP054113) to share lifts to the site, due to limited parking.
 Another chance to see this unusual moth, for those who missed last year’s very successful meeting. Come prepared with stout footwear, warm clothing, hot drinks and a torch! Bring as many moth traps as you wish – last year there were 12!
 Target Species: Plumed Prominent.
